500 HOUR YOGA TEACHER TRAINING PROGRAM

Our program is designed for Yoga Teachers who have already successfully completed a 200-Hour program approved by Yoga Alliance. (This includes programs other than Yoga & Polarity Center) Our program will be offered in such a way that participants will be able to complete their 500-hour course of study in a non-restrictive fashion over a 2-year period. It complies with the requirements of the Yoga Alliance and offers a course of classroom hours that help the student meet his or her requirements for completion of the 500 hour recognition by providing the additional 210 hours of classes and mentoring for completion of 90 hours of offsite work. With the help of our Program Director, each student will develop a plan of participation that works for him or her.

Participants may sign up class by class, or for the entire program.

Participants signing up for the entire program will benefit by receiving a discount on classes. However, signing up for the entire program does not mean that the student must take all the workshops for that year, it simply means that the student contractually commits to completing the program with the Yoga and Polarity Center during a three-year period.

Each student will be required to procure their own mentor.

This mentor can be chosen from the list of Faculty, or can be a choice outside our Faculty with approval of the Dean.Charges for Mentorship are individual and can be arranged with your Mentor without going through the Dean or Director. The Mentor will give a written report periodically to the School to allow us to review your progress and to make structural suggestions for your continued progress.

All administrative questions can be directed to the Program Director at 516-578-2898, or be submitted in writing to: Yogaschool@aol.com.

All technical program questions may be directed to Dean of Students (Kim Zawacki) at 516-358-8100.

Note: All classes are held from 11 am until 6 pm.
